Yonder: My Parisian night at Maison Villeroy, an elegant pied-à-terre

"It's an insider's address, a pocket-sized palace that doesn't say its name. If you're looking for a break in Paris, a change of arrondissement and routine, head to Maison Villeroy for an exceptional night interspersed with relaxation at the spa and a Michelin-starred meal."

8 p.m. — A star-studded dinner in your room

The cutlery sits enthroned in a beautiful silver Christofle egg, we sit down in our large living room and the starter arrives straight from the kitchens of Trente Trois, with a menu designed by Sebastien Sanjou, chef at the Relais des Moines in the Var. "White asparagus, samphire shellfish and iodized béarnaise sauce," magnificently executed by head chef Jonathan Rubat, fresh and light, perfect to whet the appetite. Next, under a cloche, arrive the Pyrenees suckling lamb, wild garlic, broad beans, new potatoes, and the rock red mullet, broccoletti, purple artichokes, and liver juices. We struggle to choose our favorite dish when the desserts arrive: "Rhubarb, hibiscus, almonds, pink peppercorns" and "Fauguerolles strawberries, pepper, burrata, basil." The lovely acidity and low sugar content are a resounding success, providing a perfect ending to this luxurious room service experience in our new Parisian apartment. We can already see ourselves there full-time.
